The agreement

By signing in to Cast or making a picture, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We may update these terms — if we change them in a way that affects you materially, we'll let you know before the change takes effect.

Who can use Cast

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• You must use your real name or a name you can rightfully use.
• You're responsible for keeping your account secure. If you spot suspicious activity, sign out everywhere and email us.

What you can upload

You may upload a photo if at least one of these is true:

• You're in the photo.
• The other people in the photo have given you permission to use it this way.
• It's a photo you took or own, with no identifiable people in it.

What you can't do with Cast

• Don't upload photos of people without their consent — especially not to make pictures that could embarrass, defame, or harm them.
• Don't upload or generate any sexual content involving minors. Ever. We report this material to authorities.
• Don't use Cast to create deceptive content (fake news, false evidence, fake identity documents, scams, deepfakes designed to mislead).
• Don't attempt to bypass safety filters, rate limits, or any other technical controls.
• Don't try to overload, attack, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don't resell access to Cast or wrap the API in your own product without written permission.

If we believe an account has broken these rules, we may pause or close it without notice. For severe violations (CSAM, fraud, threats to identifiable people) we'll cooperate with law enforcement.

Who owns the pictures

You own the pictures you make. Cast doesn't claim any ownership of the result. You can save them, share them, print them, sell them — they're yours.

That said, AI-generated images sit in an unsettled legal area. Different jurisdictions treat copyright in AI output differently. We don't promise that any particular picture is registrable or protectable as copyright in your country — that's between you and your local copyright office.

Payments (when paid filters launch)

• The price of any paid filter will be shown clearly before you start making the picture.
• If a paid generation fails (the model errors, the image comes back broken, the service times out), you won't be charged. If you were charged in error, email us for a refund.
• All sales are pay-per-picture. There's no subscription. There's nothing to cancel.

Service availability

We try to keep Cast running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uptime, render success rate, or any particular response time. We may take the service down for maintenance, for legal reasons, or because the upstream image model is down. We may add, remove, or change filters without notice.

Disclaimers

Cast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. You use Cast at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cast and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of Cast. Our total liability to you for any claim under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 USD — whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusions of certain warranties or limits on liability. In those places, the above applies to the maximum extent the law allows.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We'll delete your account and every picture in it within 7 days. If you have pending refunds we'll process those first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia (where Cast is operated from). Any disputes that can't be settled directly will go to the courts of New South Wales.
